This course will provide a better understanding of International Fire Safety Systems (FSS) codes for marine professionals, highlight the special requirements of SOLAS, especially with regards to IMDG, as well as addressing best practice when escaping a vessel in times of fire.

David has been a serving operational firefighter for 27 years prior to which he completed 3 years in the Armed Forces (Army Air Corps). In his final role as a Borough Commander, he was responsible for the delivery of Prevention, Protection and Response activities supporting a population of over 100,000 people and representing the Fire & Rescue Service within strategic and operational partnerships.
